Our Translation Services

With senior management from the Arena flying out to Japan, Bubbles Translation Services was briefed to translate and typeset the venue’s corporate brochure into Japanese. In addition to this major requirement, Bubbles was tasked with translating other supporting collateral including CDs.

The Challenge

Bubbles had just two days to complete the translation of the brochure and provide it fully art-worked in order for hard copies to be printed on time. With the tight deadline there was absolutely no room for error so a team that fully understood the nuances of the Japanese language was essential. In addition, with the language having no gender and future tense, a contextual knowledge and cultural understanding of the country was also pivotal in order to overcome any language barriers.

The Solution

With a wealth of industry experience to draw upon and a network of specialist translators, Bubbles was able to rapidly set up a team that was specifically aware of the methods and techniques used in marketing writing.

The translators were also able to draw upon their comprehensive understanding for nuances and peculiarities of tongue, as well their familiarity with idioms, expressions and play on words in both English and Japanese.

In order to meet the deadline and maintain a high level of service, out-of-hours work was planned immediately. The translations and typesetting was then produced and checked against a strict screening process.

The translation and artwork was completed earlier than planned, meaning the preparation and printing of the brochures could start ahead of schedule. Translation of the supplementary collateral was also completed on time, with the venue sending a message of thanks for the additional effort.
